Lanskap Perniagaan dan iklim Pelaburan di Iindonesia dari Kacamata Pelabur Malaysia

An alternative approach towards the betterment of a community’s livelihood has always been the focus of those who feel and believe that the top-down approach of development is not able to solve development issues at the local and peripheral level. 

This article is an attempt to highlight pertinent issues and conceptual arguements that surround aspects of participation and empowerment of rural communities living at the edge of development mainstreams in Malaysia and Indonesia.

This paper also attempts to propagate ideas concerning community-friendly development practices and to build participative culture as the alternatives to be used in development programmes within local communities who still experience poverty and hardship.
